How to clone a 72 roadrunner

I have a 72 satty that I plan to give the RR "treatment" but keep a satty...I like the strobes and what not but Y not go with a fictional satellite made up version of a satellite and instead of RR decals have a cool looking satty emblem made out of vinyl and be the only guy who has one..my plan any ways...way more fun to screw with the purist with a non existent car than a clone ;) but to each their own...I would have np with a clone but I do have a problem with a $1500 grill to fake a car...just crazy when its plastic and could have bought a stroked big block for the money...plus the cool factor when you womp a RR wi5th your Satty at the track....huh..yours might be worth more but mine will always be faster ;)

I like your idea. Nice and to the point that would embarrass the other guy LOL.

So I'm a newbie here, sorry if I step on any toes but will the 73/74 RR hood fit on a 71/72? I personally like the 73/74 nose but the wife likes the 71/72. I think it would be a fair compromise to use the newer hood on the older car.

I think it will work and if not im sure someone will say that but it wont look right, The 73-74 hoods have a high spot on each front corner of the hood and you would have a lip sticking up, See in the picture how the front header panel is up for about 5 in on each side, The hood if on 71-72 would stick up a little bit on each side.

Price your parts first, then hunt em down it will take time. Grills are spendy, hoods are too if you go air grabber the rest is out there and fairly reasonable. There may be a car someones given up on that you could pick up as well. Point is its not impossible, We cant all own original hemi cars, real life and investors, supply / demand tell us so. Its your car build as you see fit.
