I'm trying to remove the pentastars on my front fenders but can't seem to get em off. With the door open I can see that it needs pinched inside the panel and pushed out. But with the door on I can't seem to get my arm in there far enough.

Also, how do I remove the turn signals on top of the front fenders. I pried on them a bit from under the housing but it seemed like it was really close to breaking.

Thanks in advance!!

Pentastars? There should be one only, on the right fender. If you find one on the left, probably some Chevy shop installed it there; the factory did not.

Mine just popped out when prying with a thin blade.

If it's stuck really bad....you could try one of these;

Have a fire extinguisher close-by :eek:

My GOD man! Why on earth would you want to remove the icon of American Moparage?

...maybe your painting and doing body work? hehe. :blob1:

I'm 90% sure there is one on each side. I'll have to look in the AM. I'll try the blade.

Yea I am sanding the 88 layers of paint off and they are in the way. But more then likely I am going to leave them off. Never been a badge fan.

What about the turn signals on the top of the fenders?

This is a '67 500 btw

if there is one on each side..it's wrong. Get some skinny armed person to push it out. The turn signal indicators ahve a stud and another threaded stud with a nut. (underside)

The metal ones were held on by a nut! too get to it you'll have to pull the rear splash shield! The repopped ones are held on with double sided tape and they were plastic! If it's plastic just pry it off!

How do I get the stud out?

It's metal. I can see where it come's thru the panel.
