Hey, guys I'm new to this website and was hoping you could help me with this problem that I'm currently having. I have a 1967 Coronet and I'm trying to remove the grill surroundings from the front of the fenders without ruining them. I believe there is three pins holding each side on, but how do I get the surroundings off is my dilemma.

Is there a trick to removing them? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
UteMan

If thery're the same as a 66, there are small nuts way up in the tip of the fender.
You have to remove the splash shield in front of the wheel, and use a real long extension.
Might even need a 1/4 drive and/or a deep socket.
One of my least favorite things to do on these cars.

on my 67 everything was speed nuts except the top center of the fender.there is a hidden strap behind the surround that was rivitted to the fender of mine.may have been a nut at on time, but appeared to be a rivet now.had to cut it off.
