Welcome

Don't know that much about GM cars but what Pontiac was a unibody? Maybe a smaller Pontiac? Every Indian I came across had a frame under it....and welcome to the site!! And just about any car in the 'rust' belt didn't do well with snow, ice and salt....even the vehicles of the 90's didn't do well either. So I got a real question for you fellas, I definitely want to buy a 69 charger someday and would love to daily it, trouble is where I live (Eastern Ontario, Canada) our roads from now till spring fill up with salt so bad. But is there a way to get round that? I’m not sure. But I know these cars were meant for driving, and honestly I’d feel safer in a b body like the 69 then a modern ride. (Call me crazy, some people do lol)
We have recently lost a unibody Pontiac car, we drove it as our family wheels for 16 years, but based on my research the 69 charger is a unibody too. Basically can you take an old b body, do all your own maintenance, undercoat and clearcoat the hell out of it, and keep it alive year round?
What I want and dream of, btw….
I want to burn some rubber, I want to drift a bit, take it down some dirt roads and tear em up, kick up some gravel, etc.
It was a 2009 vibe, GM is all well and good but I’ve been a mopar man since before I could remember. Yeah even 90s and 2000s cars crap out in the rust belts. That’s what I love about b-bodies and specifically the charger, there’s great after market support even up here in Canada. And why make it a trailer queen? I guess what I’m sayin, is when I get my hands on one, I’m gonna drive her fast and hard, like it’s meant to be driven.Don't know that much about GM cars but what Pontiac was a unibody? Yeah....drove mine like I stole them lol but being in SE Texas I don't have to worry about salted roads etc.....at least not very often. It was a 2009 vibe, GM is all well and good but I’ve been a mopar man since before I could remember. That’s a perk to being down there for sure, road salt is automotive cancer, least here it’s strong as hell, what’s the weather usually like in Texas?Yeah....drove mine like I stole them lol but being in SE Texas I don't have to worry about salted roads etc.....at least not very often.
