Both my cactus plants bloomed yesterday.
The one on the left never has before, in all the years that i have had it.

I had what I was told was a rare "brown" cactus. It was somewhat barrel shaped, about 3" diameter and green but with a brown exterior band across the lower part of it.
It bloomed a pink-white flower, yellow center, that would open up in daytime and close at night from the first full bloom and last a few days until it fell off.
It got cut by a lawnmower and I was worried it would die. It came back double-barrel and bloomed out each top!
I'm not sure what happened to it ultimately, that was decades ago, but I still remember it and your cacti made me think of it again.

My life and my view have changed and improved. To stay on topic, I now am single and have a 15 year lease on a house I designed 2½ blocks off the beach on the Mississippi Gulf coast.
Short on time, but my view from my desk I work at is nice, and my Creole tomato plants are happy.

I'm about 11 feet above ground and I hope that's high enough for this place not to flood.
 good for you

There's a large brush fire that has been burning for hours a little South of me. Here's what the smoke did for the sunset!
