We've spent a lot of vacations near/in Kona. Nothing to do but wait till Mother Nature is done with her rant. Please protect your lungs.... Mahalo for the pictures.

I dunno.....sounds like a scam to me.
WOW, Thanks Brah ! Ask ABCuda, he said the Maui caramacs. I sent with the coffee went good together.

Great first couple of pics. Haven't been able to get back to HI since our honeymoon (almost 30 yrs ago). Stay safe. Hope it settles down soon.

The state of Hawaii....
Home of the best homegrown in the USA
I've never been, but hope to go before I die.

I have empathy for you.
Is it getting better now?

Not much, almost 3 months of steady flow.
Big island has grown over 700 acres bigger but at the cost of over 1000 homes. But I love it here and will spend the rest of my days here building my Mopars , plus +++

One of the things that blows my mind about this HI catastrophe is not only are people losing their homes to,the onslaught of lava - it’s not like other CATs i.e. floods, fires, tornadoes etc - you’re also losing the land. It’s not like you can rebuild. Wonder what the insurance companies do about that if anything. You can’t typically insure the land for replacement cost or even depreciation. It’s a bizarre occurrence and I feel for those impacted by it.

Correct, most times the land goes back to the state. Sometimes the State will give u a piece of equal value in trade. But the insurance companies is the big rip off. Some of them are not paying for the "FIRE" ins. and the ones that do, dont come close to the real value . Mahalo and keep it Mopar

I went down a couple hundred feet of elevation to see what it looked like under the smoke. It looked like this today.
