I wonder how many of you, or anyone else on the forum know today is the day in history, April 9th 1865, that General Robert E. Lee a West Point graduate (2nd in his class) surrendered to General Ulysses Grant at the Appomattox court house in Virginia, effectively ending the Civil War? Lee served 32 years with the U.S. Army before resigning to join the Confederacy, and for him it was about defending Virginia.

An early morning call-out today prevented me having breakfast....so after finishing the job I grabbed a feed from my favourite Fish shop. Been going there since 1982.

Stopped on the other side of the river to my home. Snapper & chips.
