I am going to buy my first Mopar

Hi, Welcome to FBBO & Mopars. I see you`re looking real hard at the 70. I`d be real careful & take a good look at the rear of the lower quarters ,around the wheel wells , across the tail panel ,the trunk floor & rear frame rails! The body lines look way out of whack to me! The rear side markers don`t fit right. Looks as though it`s been "Kissed" square in the back & or rotted. :eusa_think: If you can , have someone qualified ,that you trust, look at it before you pull the trigger. Often when buying, we don`t stand back & look at things as closely as we should. Just my two cents.

Good advice 6pk. The lines on these cars are what makes them. If they're off, a good eye can spot them.

Funny you bring this up because I just went to pick up the right fender for my 68 from my body man, and it looked a little different to me. I measured the distance from the tip of the crease to the tip of the fender and it was 1 inch long compared to the left which is all original. I rejected it, pissed him off, and he's family.:head_smack:

Study the lines Ashy, the devil is in the details. If they're off, something has happened.

Just another thought, Check the vin tag on the top left side of the dash, on the upper left side of the rad support ( although it looks like some one has made that area thicker with filler??) & take a good heat hair dryer & heat the under side trunk lip to warm and peel up the weather strip & on the left side about 30 cm from the rear, the vin number will be stamped in the steel lip. Both the rad support & trunk lip should be 0G 199277. If they`re not, ask some serious questions.

FWIW The bottom of the right rear quarter panel on the GTX just doesn't look right to me.
Good luck with which ever one you choose.
