WTB I am in the beginning stage of looking for a 1968 Superbee to purchase.

I spent seat time behind the wheel of the Coronet on 30 December. I've never driven a B Body Mopar that rode and drove so good. I felt like I was driving a brand new car. I had a hard time walking away. I wanted to drive that car around all day.

Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the response Bill, I appreciate it very much!!!

I watched the restoration videos on the 4 door and to all this is a car guy that loved his car. We are just care takers in this life and Bart always did the right thing for his cars, no shortcuts. This 4 door is a great solid car for that new car person who may not have the money for a RT, GTX or Roadrunner but has something to be proud of when they take their kids or grandkids for ice cream.

Couldn't you just keep the truck or the 4 door Coronet outside with a good car cover?
Sadly, a car cover would not do it. We have packrats here in Arizona, and they can ruin a car or at least cause major damage in days. Having a cover on would make it even worse as packrats like to do their thing under the cover of a closed hood or car cover. They will strip all wiring of its insulation and generally destroy anything they can get their little teeth on, plus they poop and pee all over everything. If not the packrats, then the sun/heat would do its damage. So leaving a car outside is not really an option. Take a look at the first few seconds of this video to see what packrats will do to a car.

Thanks for the kind words! My thoughts exactly! I live in a retirement community where most people would have a hard time getting in to the back seat of a 2 door car, so this was one reason I chose the 4 door. We could take another couple out for dinner comfortably. Also, the cost factor was a major consideration. For half of the price or less of a 2 door car of the same era, you could have my really nice 4 door and not break the bank! I am glad I video documented everything. It is one thing to tell someone everything you have done, it is quite another thing to let them watch it happen. This way there are no doubts that the car was taken to bare metal, etc. Talk is cheap, video RULES!!!

I drove old Mopar four doors as daily drivers for three decades, and the money saved paid for the GTXs. Two Valiants, and two Imperials. I drove the Imperials during a period when I could easily afford a new car, but I preferred the 60s stuff. Good point about the accessibility of the four doors. That Coronet will make a really nice ride for someone without breaking the bank.

Come to think of it, you are right.

This might be a nice alternative for him though. And it's not too too far from him. He could probably fly in and drive it home.
I just sent him a PM regarding my car. He seemed pretty set on a Satellite, but I did not think it would hurt to make him aware.

Hi,Thanks for thinking of me.

Hi,Thanks for thinking of me. I appreciate it. My heart is really set on a 68 Satellite though. Ironically there was a 1968 Dodge Coronet 4dr that was in excellent condition, rebuilt front suspension,318 factory air,new upholstery, new headliner,no rust. Daily driver,no leaks or issues and it was only $3,950 I was going to buy that one, I replied when I saw the ad and the seller never responded and then it was marked sold the following day. Ive seen a couple 68-69 Coronet sedans in similar shape and condition in that $4-5k range. I heard the one I missed went to Sweden.
I think youre going to have a next to impossible time getting $25k for any four door, regardless of the work done. The market is just very small for 4 dr sedans. Ive seen super clean all original ones in the $8k range. There's a 1969 Coronet that someones had listed for several years at 19k no takers, think its in Palm Springs. In that price range you can find a 2 dr hardtop,if youre just looking for a nice driver.
Beautiful Dodge though, and I like the color. Blue and Green are my favorite colors for these cars.
I saw a 69 satellite daily driver 2dr hardtop for $12k or best offer with road runner stickers on,looked solid and was in Los Angeles,it sold the next day.
The reason I want a 4 door is because its going to be a daily driver and four doors are far less likely to be stolen or have people constantly pestering you asking if you want to sell it. Plus they are better daily drivers because friends can get in and out easier, you can load packages and things into the back easier, etc. They tend to be sturdier. They are what the majority of people had back then.
Most of the 2drs also seem to gave been hot rotted by this point and have 440s and 383s and then which are completely impractical for daily driving just because of the gas prices alone. Most people don't hot rod four doors or mess with them so you have a way better chance of finding one with a slant six or a 318 that's just stock.
Glad you found your 68 Super Bee. 1968 is my favorite year for B body cars. Love the little round side marker lights and the soecial one year only 68 items.
