I am new but old!?

"W1LL" is your interior seat and color code.

I'm not familiar with that one.

Are you sure it's correct?

Usually it's something like P6T or C6XY
Well Iam sure those are the codes. Other than that I can only go by what’s on the internet. And we know everything on the internet is real.

The guy on you tube that has one calls the interior Durango. The guy I bought it from called it Aztec sooo..2 guys 2 different answers. That’s part of why i came to the forum to solve the mopar mystery’s.

Hello
My name is Mike. I have owned several mopars over the years but I am new to this sight. Hence the title “I am new but old”.
I have built several cars over the years and knew a lot more years ago than I do now. My brain went numb building a 1979 trans am over the last 5 years. Yes you heard that right. I know some of you probably threw up a little bit if you drink a little milk that taste will go away.
Anyway I currently own 2 dodge chargers one is a misfit I got from a junk yard cost me $300 and not a number one matches. I was young put a lot of money in it and bondo got pieces from a 1971 super bee, some 1974 fenders and a lot of mismatched parts.
This summer I bought a pretty cool 1974 charger it’s a spring special.
They come in one color moonstone, they have champagne vynle tops, shag carpet, the interior is Aztec print, they only came with 318s and automatics. And one sport mirror. Definitely a 70s car.
I will be taking a few liberties with it during its build but trying to keep it close to natural as not to take away from its 70s coolness.
But I do have one question it says in the build sheet it has the optional 230hp 318. I have never heard of this. I wonder if it was just a cam swap or what made it have a higher horsepower than a standard 175/180 hp 318.
I will post progress n here and you tube if you want to follow along ..
I will start after the holidays.

Thank you. Wish I was down there right now 5inches of snow up here. I enjoy working on them, Iam not much of a wood worker or artist I enjoy grinding, sanding, painting, I love the smell of them ?weird? But I do. I bought this one to drive to town and back. I took it to the nats in august, but I really like taking the 440 up there it’s just so aggressive. It’s a hobbled together piece and can be a real biatch sometimes. But that bb makes heads turn. This one drives really good, feels nimble you can yank it around turns.its just a lot lighter. Any way thank you.
