I solved all my shift prob!ems by raging a solid rods and grind joints. Works great with no cables.

Spelling is bad, used a flat rod 12" LG. Put a hole in the middle. Used a Hurst floor shifter. Used 2 rods with helm joints on each end.put 1 from shifter to top of flat rod and the other from trans to bottom of flat rod and made a bearing and bolted it to the side of the center floor Hump. Works great. Am using a reverse pattern shifter so no oops shifts into neutral while slamming gears. How about that..
