I bought the only NHRA Stock Eliminator Imperial

Q
what is the minimum weight for p or q stock eliminator??
NHRA is 16 LBs per rated HP + 170 for driver for P
Thus
16 x 210 = 3360 + 170 = 3530lbs.
And 17 for Q
17 x 210 = 3570 = 170 = 3740lbs

The Spec. book shows a 210HP and 236 HP Engines in 82 Imp.
If 236 HP in P
16 x 236 = 3775 (ROUNDS To 5 increments) +170 = 3945
OR Q
4180

It has a Thermoquad on it. I think he said a guy in Flordia prepped it.

I sold the Mirada to the Myers turnkey and race ready!
It was prepared and ran for quite a while by us.
It was originally Paul Rossi/Larry Harrold race car until Mid 80's.
We bought it from Larry's Widow not running and
sitting in the yard for 20 years.
It had just won O/SA Class at the Las Vegas Nationals beating
the vaulted Tri City Perf. Chev. Wagon in the final elimination. One of many
National wins for it.
They won Class with it back on East Coast a few times at National Races and
are still running in now.

Yea this is the stuff I don’t understand about class racing. That they have a 318 Lean Burn engine rated at 236 horse. Charles told me this car was 4200 pounds & he had it it a bit heavy so 4180 part sounds right put he was running in P. So if I’m reading that correctly it should be 3775 ? The other motor he has he said made a tad bit more horsepower than the one currently in it.

He’s selling that car also.

What is he asking?
I sold it to him for $8,950. turnkey.
PM me if you know = I might buy it back
if it is like they bought it.

In any case, sure has no resemblance to the Imperials the bank presidents drove.
