Your car with FI is 210 HP!
There was a drivability problem and many Imps
that year were converted to carbs by the dealers.
With a Carb it was refactored up to 236 HP last year.

These are NHRA factors to have a competitive Stocker
you need to make 1 1/2 times the rate HP. For a Superstock
figure 2 times.

I sold the Myer's 318 Mirada to them.
Great People and my friends.
I still race my son's Aspen Wagon 318 O/SA
a few times a year. It set several National
Records and won the All Stars with him driving.
Feel free to reach out to me if you every need any
advise or help anytime. We have been running a
318 Stock and Superstock for nearly 20 years.

BTW Our 318 is rated 230 in Stock and yours should be
even less or the same NOT 335 especially with FI instead of Thermoquad.

PM me anytime if I can help.
Yes stay in touch as I’ll probably need advice. As for the horsepower that’s what Charles is telling me. I’m buying his other 318 motor & he said it dynoed at 355. 4200 pound car running 12.7’s

It has a Thermoquad on it. I think he said a guy in Flordia prepped it.

I’m talking about the horsepower it actually makes. Not the NHRA rating.

Now that's a different S/S or Stock Eliminator car

good luck

interesting design lines on the body of that car

nice purchase

Interestingly, the Imperial, Lincoln Versailles, and Cadillac Seville all shared that same body line from the "C"-pillar in those years. Initiated years earlier by Hooper Bodies on Rolls Royce.

Our nephew had two, once he got rid of the fi and went carbureted things were were better. Not sure he might have put a 360 in one. Maybe he only had one. Not for very long.

Are you going to race it in Stock class?

Marty Stuart colors to match your Fury, or retro like it was when it ran before?

...or something different?
