I Don't Know How Your Going To Take This

So where does this car go from here?
It has been spent as far as possible.

I'm sure many of us have spent hours and cubic dollars on our cars only to find that when it is done we are left wanting more for the effort.

This car is a novelty to be admired for the effort. --As I walk down a line of cars I will be moved by what I like and pause for this only because of the notoriety. I have seen the build and am impressed but the result is not something that makes my socks roll up and down.

the side view is ugly as hell and i believe i summed my feelings up in the comments section of that vid.

additionally,id like to point out,he did exactly what i said he would,
he rewrote our mopar history to use for his own profit and reputation.
everything he says in that vid from 2;20 was proven false by the people who Worked in those depts.
some are still members Here, while dave is not.

maybe now some of you " get " why i was so upset by what he was doing.
concept car?
sure great, lotta work nice job,but not my cuppa tea esp the side view.

but Factory recreation? = Bullshit.
now officially accepted by the masses.
i can only think of the people who worked there, who got attacked on this very forum,
by dave and his crony and now have to also see this bs get accepted as legit.
its sickening.
I don't agree with much here. I will admit that I don't like the roofline as much as a 2 door.

Back in the day, a question must have been asked.--Likely more than once.
Today we only have one 4 door cuda. And it is not from ma mopar.
So now we are talking about a -want to be car--47+ years on--?
Is this about a controversy?

and i Respect you for that.
we all have our own opinions, mine happen to be based on Preserving mopar history and not faking it.
ill never be able to respect dave, not after the shenigans he pulled.
and yes,he builds some amazing cars.

if i had to compare him to someone,id say hes a lot like the former boyd coddington.

FOR THE RECORD:

PLEASE NOTE I WAS NOT PRESENT IN BUILDING T. NEITHER WAS MY FATHER. WE DID NOT ATTEND THE 2017 CHRYSLER CARLISLE NATIONALS THIS YEAR.

THIS SHOULD END ANY SPECULATION.

Uhh..."Abortion"...
or is that 'aberration' ?:D

I agree with some others here - it is an amazing build, as far as building a custom one-off car goes. But to pass it off as something that Chrysler may or may not have built....totally wrong no matter how you slice it.

"One of the pleasant surprises from the Show was talking to 3 different people who said to have seen proof of the actual concept car. Two of the 3 said that they saw the black & white styling photo of the car and the other said they had also seen the actual Concept vehicle. Building the car may have been the catalyst for uncovering the information that many have been requesting."

A forum is a place to express ideas and opinions on topics of interest. So.. you got your panties soiled by people who loathe that abomination ? Aww.. here's a tissue. I didn't know if you didn't like someone's viewpoint, it should be eliminated, is that how it's supposed to work ? I'll add my opinion, whether you like it or not. I couldn't care less about that car. I admire and appreciate the talent, effort, ability, and craftsmanship that went into it; the result is superb. Without question. Yet, its probably the biggest waste of time, effort, and money I've ever seen in this business. If anything, it's proven exactly why they never built one.

Again;
Like I said in many of his posts
& under his many/several different screen names, that he went under,
I suspect he's under another new name now again...

IMO The build is great, I don't like the style or idea so called concept,
but the craftsmanship, execution is great...
I don't think anyone denies that...
I think it's fugly as hell personally, wouldn't waste the money...

The guy he hired to do all the work was top notch...
The story is something else though...

As I see it--the reason this topic is still in front of us is because of Dave the man and not the car project so much.
He is a combative sort that needs the last word spoken. --That he is compelled to respond to every quip that comes along is what (as I see it) is the root of all of this nonsense.
He has been advised over and over by many to ignore the critique that comes from the public.-- But no--he has tended to put rocks in his snowballs and aggravated an escalation. The out come we have is almost scientific --as to the predictiable result.
