sounds about right
I'm horrible with name anymore
unless I see them all the time

I often refer to the guy with the white truck
or guy who works for the Forest service
or the crazy lady that drives that Prius

Years ago living in Fayetteville, Pa., ordered crusher run for the driveway. Tried giving directions to dispatcher when he stopped me and said the driver had been listening. Driver wanted to know if I had the 2tone blue Dodge shorted 4x4. Said I did. I know exactly where you live,be there shortly.

So says
"FBBO Budnicks" as it appears in my contacts. Lol.

Bot the 2019 registration confirmation. Car #1395.

I assign people ring tones to help remember them....also helps when the phones rings and you can't see or grab it. This is a guy I worked with until recently...I wasn't that fond of him...hence the ring tone and image used...he was a lazy SOB - so "money for nothing" suited him perfectly.

That's how I introduce myself at cruises
when I can't remember people' name & vis - versa

All the time, lots of people saved in my phone contact list saved as first name followed by their car !

My phone contacts are the other way around, likely to group them together without thinking about it. A surprising number of people who's first names are "Mopar", followed by Frank, Jonnie, Bill, Etc.....

We are creatures of association. When I'm with old school friends and we're talking about a certain person from back then, I'll ask what car did they have and then it clicks.

I'll practice word or name association to help remember people's names or even places. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I worked with an elderly gentleman that could go through a whole group of coworkers, 30 or more people, and say their first and last name. Some people just have good memories!

It's crazy that some people can hear a name once and remember it.....telephone numbers too. I'm pretty good on some things but names isn't on that list :(

What really sucks is that I remember all kinds of useless **** and don't remember the important things!

My phone list goes like this. Bob transmission, mike roadrunner, billy carbguy etc etc.. just easier that way lol.
My phone is the same as is my favorites list on the computer. otherwise I would never remember why they are saved, or who the hell they are...
