I have been watching the news every day.
I see the ICE employees wearing masks almost exclusively.
What is the reason? Can a person ask some government body for the answer? It wouldn’t happen here in Canada.

The main reason that I have read is to protect their identities. There are some evil types that learn the identity of the officers and target them and their families for the mass deportation efforts.
