Dave aka @qkcuda just happened to stop by my city on his travels with Mrs qkcuda and a friend. I picked Dave up from his Hotel in town and we went on a wee jaunt around the block..... the inner harbour motorway system. Good shakedown run for the A100 and the new engine insulation cover.
Day started out a bit wet around my house..... about that time Dave was up the Sky Tower taking a few pictures of the city scape.

We had a great old time talking cars and memories of racing days and also Carlisle trips....a few member names came up in conversation....all good I might add. Luckily the weather wasn't too bad - a few scattered showers with plenty of wind. Kept myself restrained and didn't try any burnouts today....too much traffic around, and the city has cameras everywhere now. You have to choose the timing and location carefully to avoid a fine ion the mail.

Upon returning to the inner city we pulled over for a couple of pictures....we were even photobombed by the local Fire Department ..... Red Wagons blazing past the Red Wagon.

Anyways, it was a pleasure to meet up with Dave, and I hope he, his wife and friend have a great cruise. Thanks for the opportunity to meet up.

Did the pic get flipped, or did you park on the right hand side.
I am jealous, I have not been up the spark plug / sky tower.
No....photo unaltered - that's Nelson Street heading towards the Sparkplug (or drug needle) - a one-way street with about four lanes. Hobson Street is parallel one block over taking you south to the Motorway.

Got it. I should know, I was walking there last August. Bus terminal is now on Hobson Street I think. Original Farmers used to be down the road.
