I need a visual aid regarding the 65 Satellite/Belvedere

I have just purchased a 1965 Plymouth Satellite with a big block (converted from poly). Originally it was an A/C car but that is long gone. My question is this: Does anyone have a clear picture of the dash of an A/C 1965 Belvedere or Satellite? The only "vents" I see are beside the speaker on top of the dash. I would certainly think there must have been more. Also, does anyone have the various brackets to put A/C back - it is far to hot here in TN to not have some air movement (like non-A/C cars have).

Maybe it had a dealer installed AC unit originally?? They were very common....just a console hanging under the center of dash.

Thanks for the information. I have the build sheet and it is a factory air car. someone must have removed the two vent outlets under the driver's dash and passenger's kick panel. That picture is quite helpful, which I had a few more. Thanks Jeff.

Scott, could you send me some pictures of your Vintage Air kit. I checked with them and the only years they provide is '66 and newer.

I appreciate any information. We have two race cars and this is not going to be another, we want a comfortable cruiser and A/C is just the ticket.

I don't see why not, when I put the "Old Air Products" system in our ramp truck I hooked the hoses for the factory defrost vents up to the new system, it didn't have air before, so no factory dash vent.
I think 2" is pretty standard for hose size but, they make reducers/adapters.

This a 2.5 to 3,

you just need to figure out what the vent inlet size and plenum outlet size is and buy accordingly.

nice looking install Scott. How about the controls? Did you use the factory dash control cluster.

I am a race guy so I usually trash EVERYTHING on the inside that isn't part of the racing function, however, this car is my long term "dream" car and it is going to remain on the street and in local shows. I will admit we will have to run it at least once just to see how it performs. Haha.

I used the original temp selector and fan knob. I mounted the heat, vent, defrost selector in the ashtray.
