I need another Mopar like I need a hole in the head

all im gonna say to that is this.
we wouldnt be paying these crazy high prices if Others hadnt been punking the prices foryears.

All I have to say to that is --paying a price is a personal decision. If one blames others for having to do so. ---So be it.--Go after "them/others" to get a refund you may feel due.--You were misled. It is their fault.

A Simple fact is true---Sellers want top dollar. (whatever the market seems to be it is always a bit short.) -Buyers want a gold mine to feel good about a great find. What is next?? Those that found "gold" are now bad guys because they want what the market dictates?

How the hell do you get four pages of postings in 24 hrs for buying one car?

Lol, Congratulations, for the hundredth time

that quoteing you did was weird.
anyways, you seem to be defending something for some reason.
no clue why and wasnt my point at all,ill try to be clearer.

by omitting actual prices paid, that Helps Inflate the market because = speculation of perceived value versus what you actually scored it for.
not only do a lot of people do this, but the magazines have been doing this for years on purpose,
And they are the First to publish all the Highest prices to of course help drive the prices up and thats why i call it " punking "
sorry for the obscure reference.

I remember when I bought my '69 Charger Richard asked how much I paid for it. When I didn't respond he scoured the internet until he found the ad featuring my car. Then posted it on this forum for all of you guys to pick apart. Well...lets see the ad including price. Either that or don't do unto others anymore!
The difference is that Mr Cranium posts up loads of pictures of all his cars for everyone to enjoy. I don't recall you ever posting a picture of one of your vehicles. Prove me wrong if you can.

This car's been advertised a few times on fleabay......

Don't know what he really wants, but the car looks pretty darn nice. Love the color & the body appears to be in better shape than the one I just bought, but I personally prefer the 68's.

I followed the car in the 2-3 times it was advertised to gauge the price, but 50 large was as high as it got. Who knows if it sold after the auction or not? Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable about bidding that much money on an online auction or buying any car of high value without seeing it in person. To me, it was worth investing a grand to go to Colorado & see the car in person. I know these cars very well & know what to look for. The time & money spent was well worth the peace of mind.

The market and rarity, popularity often sets values of cars. Its nobodys business what somebody sold or paid for a given car. Maybe a guy had to sell a car cheap for say a divorce or sickness and he doesnt need it to be public knowledge. Maybe the guy who bought it cheap doesnt want the same or to be subject to snide remarks that are often the case. I think the prices of these cars are pretty well established by now. If anyone is interested in these cars, looking to make a purchase I'm sure if they PM Mark he will always help to the best of his ability.

I get such great deals on stuff that I LOVE telling people how much I paid.

Goes to prove that there are still good deals around if you shop with your brain.

I don't have much time to participate on the forum in the summer so I just skim the new posts and pick out a few to read. I take a look at RC's posts because love him or hate him, his posts are usually interesting. That is why he has 4 pages of responses.

I can easily say since 1974 I have owned 60 to 80 68 and 69 chargers. my first one is the car I miss the most, as it was a 68' 318 with three on the tree, and I paid $400.00 for it. When do you ever see that?
I still have the trunk lid with luggage rack attached from one I junked in 1978. I look at it all the time wishing I had not junked it(R/T)
So I never get tired of looking at one when a member posts it. I have owned mine since 1985,
and when I tell people that I paid $500 for it, they get all pissy and slury. so I don't tell people any more! I think it's great to see nice original, and I don't care what they had to pay for it. I have a few cars that are really pricey, but My wife says they aren't worth a red cent unless you sell them! HAHA
And by the way, if anyone needs tail lights, (68) I have 10 sets of them in my garage, and they have been there since 1980!
So RC should take a picture of all the Chargers together! that would be cool.
I have a friend in Minnesota with eight 69' hemi chargers in his garage, but nobody knows him, and he doesn't speak of it.That is fine too!

Monaco- My first Mopar was a 70 Satellite convertible, 318, 3 on the tree too !!!! I paid $400 for it also in 1980. Drove it through 4 years of college. It was a rust bucket back then and only 10 years old. Trunk extensions were rusted through, but looked sharp on the outside. I miss that baby too. I just sold my 70 RR to buy another 70 Satellite convertible ( my third now), 318 but auto. Not as many Chargers as you have owned by far, but it's funny how some people have a certain car that they prefer/collect.
Look at RC- he's a Charger fanatic too. I like his white one the most. Very sharp.

RC- congrats on the new addition. Giving another one up to make room? Inquiring minds want to know and maybe buy !!!!!

If you're dropping $60K on another Charger I'm wondering what the Mrs. gets to spend big bucks on?
