If you were able to go back in time and grab one American muscle car from each manufacturer, year specific, what year would it be and what cars?

I would have to choose the year 1968 for myself.

68 Dodge Charger R/T
68 Plymouth Barracuda fastback formula S
68 Chrysler 300
68 Chevy Chevelle SS
68 Pontiac GTO
68 AMC AMX
68 Buick GS
68 Oldsmobile 442
68 Cadillac Eldorado
68 Ford Torino CJ
68 Mercury Cyclone

Seems like in 68 all the manufacturers had a pretty good looking dog in the race..
What say you?

'63 Plymouth Savoy (still looking for my 331 Hemi)
'65 Coronet R/T (almost, 4 door 440 318 poly)
'68 Charger R/T (missed it by this much...)
'69 Superbee (my second)
'74 Charger (my first)

In ones I don't have or haven't owned.
#1 on my list would be 68 Charger Hemi 4-speed.
#2 67 Chevelle SS 427 4-speed
#3 B0 29 Hemi Barracuda

1970!

Plymouth GTX/RR
Dodge Super Bee
Chrysler 300
AMC Rebel Machine
Chevelle SS 454
Olds 442 W30
Buick GSX
Pontiac GTO
Ford Torino GT
Mercury Cyclone GT

Some likes for the '67 GEETO! Me too...1st car I bought was a 67 vert, sure wish I had back. Had some fun with it on hot summer nights with gals and racing. Very close 2nd is the '65 goat (we had two of those in the family). My next buy was a '70 Cuda vert...yep really like to have this one back too. I'd say in large, more of my favorites are 1970 - Cuda, Challenger, GTX/RR, and a mention to a '70 Shelby stang - GT500. I test drove one, triple black vert 4sp, when muscle cars were rotting on dealer lots post oil crisis. Asking price...$2,200...a sorry miss.

I've been amazed by how much the VW busses go for and retro-ed older SUV's, broncos, etc. Crazy pricy. Remember a plain Jane Bronco my dad brought home from work on occasion with a plow on it, man it was like riding in a beer can with bricks for suspension, not my idea of a cruiser...to each their own!

Had quite a few of the list below, except a few of the more rare cars
prefer the 4 speed in all of them, but an auto is fine too

You get 10 extra points for picking the Rebel. Ha...they had a 327 years before Chevy ever had one.

Just like henry fords model T, "you can have one in any color you want, as long as its (silver, with gold anodized trim) black" . Lol.
Most enthusiasts dont even know it exists. Ive never seen one in real life.
