I'm going to be removing my old race car MAXIMVS graphics... and it's killing me to do it. The 21 year old base coat clear coat is failing. The MAXIMVS graphics are a work of art done by D&S graphics in Honeybrook PA in gold leaf. I hate to obliterate this work. Has anyone heard of a way to convert race car graphics to a type of 'ghost' graphic? It would be cool to retain the graphics as this is going to be a race car to street car conversion. Thoughts?

Whatever you do, take care of yourself! Ian is coming! Put the car on a trailer and head for Houston for a week.
Be Safe.

1) A good artist/paint/body person might be able to wet sand the clear coat just down to the artwork and reapply new clear coat.

2) You could have a graphics place copy the artwork and reapply them in vinyl.

3) A good airbrush artist could copy them before you have to remove them.
