installing the rear disc brake kit from SPEEDWAY MOTORS

:headbang:i BOUGHT THE speedway motors REAR DISC BRAKE KIT .
This kit was meant for a ford passenger car BUT i had a friend make me the proper plates that bolt to the rear axle flange .I ordered a caliper from a 1989 trans am with the built in e -brake system . I put it all together after i filed the rotors flange so i will slide over the axle flange .I have had to modify a couple of things to make this set up work and it has been pretty easy .the last thing i went to do was put on the caliper pins and tighten it up and it was good to go .well i put the pin in tightened them, up to spec and go to spin the rotor NO SPIN ......I have to machine a spot on the caliper pin near the middle of the pin as thick as the rotor and them it will be good to go . the e -brake will be the next thing which i will be using the factory 1971-74 charger rear e -cables and center cable so it will look factory in a sense if so one happens to take a boo under neath... hope to have pics soon ...

the rear bracket kit from speedway is 100.00 .it is meant for a FORD car .I made a program and have had to make the proper plates that bolt to the axle housings . I sell these plates that mount on the axle flange then the caliper plates bolt to it . You do have to use the new style bearings (sealed). I did use something of difference from the norm. They say (SPEEDWAY MOTORS) say to use 1978 -83 cadilliac seville rear calipers......Good luck finding a set of these i will provide all in detail of parts from start to finish once I am finished . Any questions about the brakets that i make please message me ....I will only make these plates for the FORUM MEMBERS only and at a price that you cannot make them yourself any cheaper . It is the way of me i have to improvise to make things happen , I look forward to hearing back from members to see what they think of this ....
