installing trunk torsion bars

Does anyone know if the trunk lid torsion bars are side specific ( left and right ) on a 68 charger.
After installing mine I found them to be too strong keeping the lid open.

I can't remember if you have various adjustment slots on your car.
My 73 Dart has 4 of them to vary the tension of the bars.....

I believe there is a L or R stamped on the rear.

Forward slots weaken tension. Rear slots increase tension.
