Intake manifold holes question

We bought a 74 charger a couple of weeks ago mostly for the body. Our plans were to install a 440 out of a motorhome with 73000 miles on it we bought for a couple of hundred bucks. Long story short the car has a 318 in it that ran a couple of years ago till it was parked. Because of my schedule I didn't have much time to look over the car real good. I was putting water in the radiator and water started coming out of one of the holes circled in the picture. I'm assuming (we know how that sometimes plays out) those holes are for gauges, hoses or other equipment within the cooling system and not a screwed up intake. Please give me good news. Thanks

Those are the feed and return lines that connect to your heater core pipes on the firewall.

That's a big block picture. No water in the intake. All 8 cylinder engines
