1970 charger sail panel board have clips to hold it up? I googled and dont see any. I did see some for 70-74 challenger.

If it’s the same as a 68, I recall small metal push through pins that held them on. Just one per side if I remember correctly.

I just removed them on my ‘70 Satellite and they had these super king fu clips. I hope this helps.

I see these for challenger but nothing for charger. EMailed James at DMT since he sold me the sailpanels with no clips. Stay tuned.

Not correct for charger. 68-70 chargers use a pin of sorts. Like a short nail with screw threads on it. Think of an emblem stud with the spiral threads cut onto it. That’s what the pin looks like for the sail boards on a charger.

My '68 had what looks like a nail with twisted ribs on it to grab the metal as it goes in. I believe these to be original as the headliner was original.

My 68 Charger had one of the above nail looking fastener left in the roof that RT68 posted.
I couldn’t find any replacement.
I used a self tapping screw with rounded head and small washer.
Screwed through the cardboard sail right next to the original holes.

Adding on to Dave's thread. The pic below is what I'm 99% sure was holding my sail panels in place.
My sail panels are light brown and warped. I didn't see any remnants of covering on them, so I'm assuming they were uncovered. Looking online the "uncovered" ones are all one color (dark) - does it matter? Is there a way to tell if mine should have been covered/uncovered so I'm sure?

70 Charger SE, Vinyl Top.
I just located the pics below. They suggest the headliner completely covered it and the sail panel was uncovered. There were the clips that were in it. I have no reason to believe someone replaced them/removed the headliner prior, it's been in the family for 45+ years.
BTW, what purpose do they serve? Should I use my warped/stained originals (will anyone notice), or should they be replaced?

They make the headliner look nice by giving it a flat surface in that area. I would guess that it being a 70 model and the headliner never being removed those are probably the original clips that they used? That said 68/69 do not use that style to my knowledge. It just seems to me that style of clip would “print” itself and be visible under the headliner.
If you can reuse original components, I would suggest that. If they are beyond use doe to warping or whatever then reproductions are in order.
