Is it another dead MSD box?

I bought one off an online auction site... hooked it up to a coil and distributor to find it didn't work. Paid something like 13 bucks, so opened it up to find the output to the coil wire was cooked in half. Spliced that and it works fine. Spare I now carry in the '69 Dart.

I ran into a high rpm missfire with my MSD 6 box and pro billet distributor. Using the MSD 8862 shielded cable solved the problem completely. Not sure if the problem you are describing is what I had, but it may be worth a try.

It was the MSD box failing. Wired in an old factory style orange box and the engine runs fine. As usual it took the rest of the day to wire it in permanent and clean up the wiring some. I still want a spark retard feature. Who makes reliable stuff anymore?
