Is this a problem with my transmission linkage?

Hi everyone. I am having an issue where my transmission linkage and torque shaft is hitting my speedometer cable in park. This is causing the speedometer cable to hit the exhaust and burn. I’m wondering if the center console bracket was welded too far forward? I took out the wooden bezel from the center console and it doesn’t look like I can adjust the torque shaft from up there. I think if the gear shifter was further back it would pivot the torque shaft and linkage away from the cable. I already determined that the transmission linkage is incorrect because it didn’t look like the one in the service manual so I ordered a new one of those. It’s a 69 charger 500 with the 727 auto. Thanks.

Also I’d like to mention I have to force the center console over to the left to get the rear screws in and it rubs the drivers seat but has plenty of room next to the passenger seat.
