Is this a correct oe a12 master? The reason I question it is the difference of brake fluid chamber size. I would have expected 2 equal size chambers for drum drum.

Dan ,
Drum / Drum I S equal size chambers — as you expected…

That is a Front Disc / Rear Drum Master Cylinder — as you expected….

I can’t see enough of the Master Cylinder , in the pix , to tell you if it is 1967 - 1970 versus 1971 - 1973….

A couple more pix , I will tell you instantly…..

Is that the date code on the top flange 1168 ?

I am not 100 % sure on that —- perhaps someone else will chime in on that….

I thought that Most ( I don’t want to dare say “ ALL “ !!! ) MOPAR Date Codes were three ( 3 ) digits —-
For example : “ 468 “ would be 46th week of 1968 …..
But that might be on electrical and so forth…..

BENDIX ( U.S.A. BENDIX , back in the day ) had the contract with MOPAR for all Brakes related items ( hence , they were “ O.E.M. “ ) may have had their own codes —- and “ 1168 “ could well stand for “ November ( 11th month ) of 1968 “ …..

There are No catalogs or reference guides on all that , it is only what we have learned ,etc., etc. in these last 60 years ,
And of course, the MOPAR engineers and technicians from those days , who we could “ ask “ are all passed away !!!
