Is this gonna leak?

I noticed this the other day while crawling around working on my parking brake setup. Will this, what looks to be a seal, leak once I get this car drivable? It will move for and aft and there is a gap towards the front on the transmission where it’s sitting now. I hope you can see in this sheety picture.

Its dry, but in one piece. I think I will just leave it be.

The seal is even with the aluminum housing, that is a dust boot you can see.

It's like toilet paper sticking out the back of your pants.. not entirely useful anymore.

It's a seal with a dust boot, all in one. I use them on all three of my cars vs just the seal.
