....removing the brake booster out of my friends 4sp Coronet convertible. The clutch pedal return spring made removing the last nut rather interesting.
PS: Not an original stick car. Was a 383, auto. Now a 440, 4sp.
I never realized my back was double jointed! Lol!! Anyway, I'm sending the booster and master out to the Ram Man for refurbishing. It's odd to me that this is a 4 wheel drum car with power brakes. The master is clearly a replacement Wagner unit.
beautiful Coronet Scooby67. it's often always easier taking parts off than putting back on. i recently replaced my m/c on my 4 speed Roadrunner by myself. used a wire to hang m/c near opening, and then lay half way in the car threading the nuts back on. took 3 days to recover from twisted body positions.
Yup one of the most asinine things besides the starter mopar ever did.Would of it been so hard to put the studs though from the backside with the nuts on the firewall side? Brand X car can be swapped out in 20 minutes.
I can relate to your point! Changing. Starter on a b body with headers is like doing hip replacement on a hippo. Done many times - don't ever want to do it again. Cmon Ma, make it easier......!
