It's Finally Over!!!!!!

Cranky on your next one, if she's not driving a MOPAR, walk away fast!

You got the house?
hmmm.gif
yup....

I did the deed as well - over 30 years ago. Luckily I didn’t have anything - but she tried to take it anyway. Was semi single (lots of girlfriends) for 15 years before getting married again. Love my wife and it’s much better the second time around if you’re careful. Enjoy!

Congrats! I hope that’s the correct word to use! I’ve never been there and hope I don’t. But you never know!

Don’t rush to get rid of stuff, unless you have to! Good luck and it is true, we’re all here!

Hope things get better for ya, cranky!
Don't know if I'm lucky, or not. August, will be 50 years with mine.

Congrats for holding it together we are coming up on 49 years for us. We had a rough spot after we bought our first house, year two of marriage. I told her that I would stay with her till the children came of age. Not that I'm no prise when it comes to being a husband. But she mellowed out when the kids hit their late teens.

Jeez, coming up on 48 for us. Congrats to a bunch of us, I guess. Takes some fortitude && good luck.

Congratulations to you Cranky . . . Been there, done that . . . ( sigh ) . . . .

Find a renter who just sleeps in a bedroom showers and leaves. My mother had a renter like that.

They asked the old couple if after 75 years of marriage they had ever thought about divorce.
One of the couple said :
"Divorce never. Murder everyday"
True story. I saw it.

My wife and I used to poke at each other about who would die first.
After 35 years and watching her health decline so much in the last few , our little "joke" doesn't seem so funny to me anymore.
For those that find a faithful friend , treasure the time.
The rest is just noise.

Just know, for whatever it's worth, and no matter how you come to terms with your situation, guys here who've never personally met you, will support you and be there for you whenever you feel the need. We know. We understand.

My grandparents were married for 70'ish years. One day Grandma leaned over and swatted Grandpa, "That's for 70 years of terrible sex."
He leaned her way, swatted her and said, "That's for knowing the difference."

Yup....need to do that. Got someone in mind if she would just make a decision on it. Don't want anymore hardlegs as room mates. Did that a couple of times in the 70's and looking back on it, they were worse than any woman I've ever lived with!

Congrats Cranky. If it was a bad situation, then it is better to be out of it somewhat broke than to still be in it and be miserable. Life is too short to be miserable.

I can act like a stooopid single guy again!! Only thing is, I'm now broke. Anyone want to buy a house and an equipped shop in south east of Houston?
Congrats !!!

by "the rules"
shouldn't this be in the Marketplace Forum ? :poke:
& shouldn't it have a price listed too ? :poke:

Just kidding,
free advertisement, to try to sell your shop & house in Houston...
Hope it's way above the floodplains

Broke & divorced goes hand & hand :drama:

glad I never went thru that **** :carrot:

saw enough of it in my family & friends :blah::blah: :blah:

many had multiple divorces,
you'd think they'd learn after 2 :poke:at a min.
my thinking is they should have learned after 1st time :realcrazy:

enjoy your life now & the freedom

Did the divorce thing over 40 + years ago. Everytime I think about getting married again I just find a bitch I can't stand and buy her a house.
