You will find that the lights will be brighter if you paint the insides of those housings WHITE rather than silver.
Yeah, I was tempted to mention that, but he's done such a nice job of painting them silver I didn't want to bust his balls... My pictures above the housings are painted with ceiling white...You will find that the lights will be brighter if you paint the insides of those housings WHITE rather than silver.
Feel free to bust them I read the threads about taillights and painting the insides white BEFORE I painted them silver. I just couldn't bring myself to do it when they were silver from the factory.Yeah, I was tempted to mention that, but he's done such a nice job of painting them silver I didn't want to bust his balls... I use to chase correct details & still do to a point... But since I like actually driving my cars I've decided anything that makes them more visible to the typical brain dead zombies on the road with us is a worthwhile change....Feel free to bust them I read the threads about taillights and painting the insides white BEFORE I painted them silver. I can always change them later, but also don't planning on driving at night much. I have another set of taillights, so maybe I'll paint them white inside for a future swap. The other taillight lenses have the reflector built in as well. They're not correct for my build date, but might be safer / more visible.
Funny thing, I had some supposedly highly rated LED bulbs in my Challenger... Till someone commented about how dim they had become.... I was oblivious since I never see my own tail lights.. I figured I've got really good LED bulbs, my lights should be easily visible.... Not the case....Apparently it's pretty common for LED's to dim as they age... Nobody talks about it...The 3x bright led bulbs get it done for me. Less amp draw too.
