I heard a jeep master cylinder would fot a 67 to 70 b body. Anyone done this?

What are you doing? Disc front? Disc rear? Power? Or 4 wheel drums?

It sometimes helps to have information.

It does. But I was just asking if anyone knew if a jeep master cylinder would fit a b-body. I wouldnt think you would need to know if it had drum or disc to know or not if it fits the firewall sweet heart.

Yes sugar, but a large bore master cylinder on a manual disc setup works poorly.

Most 2 bolt master cylinders can be switched, sometimes some filing needs to be done, sometimes a different pushrod needs to be made, length and diameter of pushrods sometimes are different. Do not use one that is from ABS system, most of those are split LF and RR type. Watch out for different bore sizes for what you wish to achive. Rock Auto can be your friend for searching bore sizes.

Not sure its necessary. Let me look around, somewhere i found a list of mopar mc's with bore size...

Here it is. Pick the size you need then go to rock auto and spend a couple of hours searching for the best deal. I was able to find a NEW m/c for my application for like $27.00

I am at rock auto now. Where can I search by bore size, or where does it say bore size? Thanks

Can't search bore size. You have to go into each model and check price, etc. it will say bore size in the description and whether it's a disc/drum drum/drum. Took me hours but I got what I needed, new not refurb and like $27.

Went to pick and pull and got a master cylinder out of a 1992 Dodge Ram van. It looks brand new. Should work great. Thanks for the help!

What disc brake system are you using? Those mc's are 1-1/8" bore and will need calipers with some pretty big surface area.
