You can see the K frame from the top side, so it might as well look good...

Agreed, it should look good, that's why I go over mine, but you can't see much with a BB, or Hemi from above...

I'm no expert on rust, but I would guess surface rust turns to hardcore rot eventually.

That came out great. I too enjoy doing a lot of this at home but it was too good of a deal to pass up!
