K-Member Question 66 Belvedere

Don't worry, the K-Member isn't the issue here. All V8 K-members from '66 to '70 are identical, doesn't matter if it was a 273 or a 440.
it would make a difference if his 273 was installed onto a slant k member with shumaker mounts is why i asked if the motor was original!

The difference is the improved idler arm mount, introduced in 1968. Other than that, they are functionally the same.

The sway bar mounting is different in 1970 and later. Hemi uses its own unique design for the motor mounts.
Early '66 also had different sway bar mounting. But we are getting away from the fact that the V-8 crossmember will accommodate anything from 273 to 440, with exception of 426 Hemi which had its own distinct crossmember.

Strictly speaking from a motor exchange standpoint, yes. But just buying some random k member and bolting your engine in may be all fine and dandy until you go to install everything else. So it’s important to know what you need and what you are getting. Blanket statements (not by you) that say all 66-70 b body k members are identical is leading people astray.
