Key in column on B cars? 1970 or 71?

When was the first year the key was moved to the column on B's. If it was 71, do the steering wheels interchange between the 68-70 cars or does it matter where the key was?

Well, found out the key goes in the column on all 70 models...but will a steering wheel from a 68 or a 69 B fit the 70 column?

what is the difference? The mount only and by mount do you mean the adapter looking thing?

The wood wheels on the 68-70 are the same except the 70 has a extra smaller hole on the mounting collar - this wont be seen once installed on a 68-69. The 70 then has a different horn button adapter than the earlier models.

i run a earlier wheel on the 70 column in my Satellite.You just see a gap around the top , looking straight down the column
