I bought new Keystone Klassic rims for my road Runner. After looking them over the center section is aluminum and the rim itself is steel. They are welded together. I always thought you could not weld steel and aluminum to each other. Anybody have any insight into this? I’m worried that joint won’t be strong enough with the blown hemi and four speed that I’m running.
All opinions are welcome.

Cragars are made that way as well. Sox and Martin ran them for years.

Chuck Ostrich ran them on his Hemi Super Stock cars.

The tires I have aren’t very sticky so I’m hoping it won’t stress them too much. If I go to the track I will run slicks on some stronger rims.
Thanks for the replies.
