Went to the Battleship New Jersey car show yesterday. Had about 55 cars. My buddy Rick went with his '71 Vette and a buddy tagged along with me. Show also included a tour of the ship. I have been on it before but my friends had not. We did the self-guided tour. All proceeds went to the ship and veterans groups. Great way to spend the day and wrap up the show season here in South Jersey.

That 77 Cordoba looks like the Charger we brought our son home from the hospital in.
Wish I still had it.
And who doesn't like a Battleship?

Great pics, great car ! (Wasn't it a little chilly, though ? )

Nice day with the cars! My nephew was stationed on the new Jersey in the 80's. What a great ship.

It was downright cold first thing. We took the tour within 15 minutes of arriving and spent nearly 3 hours in the ship. Was bearable by then with bright sun and no wind. Started to chill off again by the end of the day. It was worth being cold for the cause.....many of our veterans have been through a hell of a lot worse than me being a little chilly.

Did you try banging your hand on a turret? Lol. Was lucky enuf to go thru BB63 back was in 2004. Definitely old,,big,, iron!!

I toured the Battleship USS texas in 1986 while living in Houston. It is the last rivet ship built. There is still a hole in the control tower as it was hit by gunfire during the D- Day. Invasion.
I went to see it because my Grandfather was a cook on that ship during WWI.
I was told they would open the big doors on the side of the ship when cooking so when the ship went up and down the waves would roll across the floor of the galley. it helped during cleaning! Yikes!
