Late B Body AC

I need to replace the AC on my Cordoba, what compressor from a later car or truck would work best? BTW the compressor on my car is gone and to replace it is too expensive.

Would the the Ac from a V8 Dakota work along with brackets and serpentine system work on my 318?

i dont know about the serpentine system but alot of the cars from say 79 and up used a sanden comp on a vbelt setup ,fifth avenue diplomat fury all these till 89 . hoses might even work to early dakotas 87/90 i think also used this setup to v6 will work also hope this helps,
