Hello,

I have a 67 Satellite I picked up on Monday. It’s a blast to drive but fuel leaks from the flip gas cap.

Is there a way to get it to seal better?

Thank you

You might be missing some parts. Take it off and show us what you have there.

does it have an aluminum ring around it that fits flush with the body?

EDIT, remove the 3 screws and take it off the car!
there is to be a rubber seal between the ring and filler neck.

Are you sure it's coming from the cap itself and not a rubber elbow or tank grommet?

It’s coming from the cap. I have to wipe the residue off after I get done driving

Make sure your tank venting is working right. Gas expands quite a bit in the tank without good venting. Ask me how I know ;)
