Whats everyones opinion on the quality of Legendary Arm rest bases and pads for a 69 B body ?
They say there made in USA ! Warrenty for a year! Does anyone have these from legendary?
Getting ready to place an order
Thanks in advance dcmason69

I agree. Legendary is the best. I purchased a set for my car but was not able to install until a few years later due to family issues. When I did, I discovered that the backrest covers for the rear seats were made incorrectly. Legendary made good and sent me the correct ones in a very timely manner.

I got my green 9" pads from them. Not installed yet but look great and came with new screws.
I thought the $36 shipping charge to Atlanta was excessive.

Are they soft? Does it look like Legendary manufactured it themselves? Some of the repros out there are too firm.

They are harder - but not rock hard. The grain is not typical of originals which tend to have a softer grain structure. The ones I received have kind of a rougher, harsher grain. They are a little blockier than originals too.

Legendary - I’ll see if I can find a better picture.

The Legendary red was not a great match to the 67 mettalic red interior. Legendary said it was the closest they could get. I bought some dye/paint off KustomKolor to use on the package tray, seat backs and console, so I painted the Legendary pads with it. I may switch back to the originals that I also painted - but the Legendary are not really bothering me.

They look pretty good.

My pads should be here soon! From legendary!
Will let you know how they look when I get them.
Thanks okdart

Did you get your pads?

Is the metal part for mounting on the back the same as the originals? The ones I got from Classic Industries the metal does not step out nearly as much as the factory ones do.

Are you referring to the chromed plastic back?

I am referring to the metal part that the screw goes through on the back of the arm rest. You can see in the pictures below how much further the metal is out on the blue original pad. The originals sit/fit into the chrome base much better than the black reproductions I have. I was just wondering if the ones Legendary makes are like the originals or not. None of the pictures on their website show the back.

The one time I have seen a Legendary "remake" they were smaller like what you show. Personally I would locate originals in your color or close and dye them.
