Funny you should post that pic (3364).
Was chasing away a robin that I believed was raiding other nests and I saw that he was really just feeding his own.
Friggin' bird was probably thinking "WTF is wrong with this pr*ck?!" There are at least 4 chicks in this nest.
Small city back yard but tons of nests this year (I plant many trees in my garden.) My wife said I was crazy when I told her about all the mating was going on. When she finally saw for herself she pinched my arm when I said
"I'm the one paying all the taxes and the only one NOT getting laid in the yard!"

I've already had four different robin families hatch out, in different nests, so far this year in my barn.

I've always dug watching them but last year or two really taking note.
This year we have robin, song sparrow, morning dove, cardinal, blue jay and I'm sure a few more that I am not educated enough (yet) to identify. I'm also in the process of reading up on multiple hatches each year. Never realized that to be the case before. Had to build out the grackles last year. They found a few spots that I didn't completely close off in the rafter/soffit area of the new shed. They are a sticky mess!
I know ..... I need to get a life!

Still a good photo given the satellite is 25,000 miles away.
If your talking about the James Webb Telescope its million miles away. They got a hell of a good picture through that window. Better pull the shades down tight while making whoopie!
