LL?

Hi all,

Curious as to what the “LL” stamping under the block casting number refers to? My block casting number is 2468130 10.

What kind of block is it? Do you have any pictures?

Sounds like a 383. Basically it means low as in low deck.
It's just designations within the engineering and manufacturing divisions, but wasn't really meant to mean anything to a retail customer.

Low lead, means you have to run avgas. 100LL.

383 has that..... it does indicate low deck block.... I found an explanation once, but I can't lay my hand on it now.
