I was going to install the lower control arm on the driver side. God only knows how that happened. The sway bar tab on the lower control arm is also screwed up tiny bit. I will have to have that addressed when I bring it the body shop.
Weird part is, there’s no damage to the lower control arm. I think some how it must have hit and did that, but again, other than the sway bar tab being damaged, that’s it.Wow! How does that even happen?
Car hasn’t been registered since 1984. And by how the bushing was, it don’t look like it. The bushing was shot, big time. I’m thinking, does anyone know if doing a wheel alignment and somehow ******* up could cause this? I recently did both the pitman arm and the steering box last week, and didn’t notice it.Someone replaced the control arm after ?
Maybe someone lost a wheel at some point in its life, a tow truck driver put a hook there? It does look fresh, but it was covered in 58 years of oil, crust, dirt and whatever else the road throws at a car. After pressure washing that side I saw it.Wow! How does that even happen?
