I was going to install the lower control arm on the driver side. God only knows how that happened. The sway bar tab on the lower control arm is also screwed up tiny bit. I will have to have that addressed when I bring it the body shop.

Wow! How does that even happen?
Weird part is, there’s no damage to the lower control arm. I think some how it must have hit and did that, but again, other than the sway bar tab being damaged, that’s it.

Regular driving would move the LCA rearward if the strut rod bushings were bad. To damage the K member like that, I'd think that the LCA would have to be pushed forward, this would likely only happen in reverse where the LCA would be pushed forward if someone backed into an immovable object. That would likely bend the strut rod at the same time.
If only cars could talk...

Someone replaced the control arm after ?
Car hasn’t been registered since 1984. And by how the bushing was, it don’t look like it. The bushing was shot, big time. I’m thinking, does anyone know if doing a wheel alignment and somehow ******* up could cause this? I recently did both the pitman arm and the steering box last week, and didn’t notice it.

Maybe someone lost a wheel at some point in its life, a tow truck driver put a hook there? It does look fresh, but it was covered in 58 years of oil, crust, dirt and whatever else the road throws at a car. After pressure washing that side I saw it.
