One bad ride!!
Current owner spent five years getting me to finally part with her last fall, after I got the one shown here. Patience can be a virtue when chasing this stuff. This GTX came from a fellow FBBO member. It took four months for us to close the deal, between the Covid interstate travel restrictions, and me having to sell an existing car first.

It’s a nice scenario that I would agree with but usually it won’t go that way because you’ll get 200-900 calls at all hours of the day, in state and out of state. hundreds of stories and questions and request etc it wears you out real quick

I thought like that when I sold my Sportback but the calls wouldnt stop and I couldn’t be making appt after appt so it became first come first serve

Also if you really did want it to go to the right owner you would bequeathed it to that person. At the end of the day the money plays a part in it
I have 2 cars offered up to interested buyers right now. The first one I’ve been dealing with the interested buyer all summer, he had to sell his house first, now he is making plans to come and pick it up. Yep, I could’ve moved on by now, but why? He runs the Barracuda news letter and wants the car, so I just keep cruising it up town to the cruise in and enjoy it while I have it. 2nd is the 70 Roadrunner I have in the barn, and I offered it to the OP, and am giving him all the time he needs to make his decision, and arrangements to come see it, unlike the seller in his initial post. Why? Because I don’t need to sell either car. I’ll just wait until they make their decision and work around that. It doesn’t hurt me to keep them, they don’t cost me a thing. Sure, I could use the money for the addition I’m doing on my home, but that will get done in its own time too. Patience is a virtue lost in most people today.

Great you can do it that way, more people though are looking to move what they want to sell when they decide to sell; otherwise they wouldn't be selling it. Need the cash, or maybe cash to buy something else, need the space..

I need all that stuff too, well, except the buy something else. That’s how I got into this mess in the first place. It’s a disease, I swear it is!

I have so MUCH 'stuff' collected over the decades, including from my dear-departed folks house, it's been making me bonkers. Then my kids no longer residing in our house, with their stuff they don't have room for in theirs. I've made countless trips to Goodwill, recyclers, and sold a few things, and still looks like I haven't got rid a nuffin!

Same boat here, and I’m losing one of my storage buildings when my wife moves her mom into assisted living and they sell the house. Then all my stuff there will need new homes, only 2 cars there, but a shitload of parts.
