I have a 1970 RR 383 automatic 323 posi . I think the motor is all original I need a new carburetor and it has an edelbrock on it now. looking at the Holley 670 cfm street avenger carburetor and wondering if it's too big. some guys go with the 650 cfm. looking to keep the same manifold . Thanks

If it’s all stock why not go back to the factory 4160 vac secondaries Holley. I think the 670 would be a good choice also but others will chime in

Which Edelbrock is on it now? What makes you think you need a new carb?

An Edelbrock 650 AVS or a street demon 625 or 750. The choices are endless so it comes down to what you are familiar with and can tune.

Never owned one , but lots of examples on the 'net of the 670 SA running like crap OOTB and being a real pain to dial in an acceptable fuel curve.

What edelbrock do you have on it now ?
Possible a little tune up or full kit may just be all you need.
Unless your just ready for a new carb ?

You have the best carb on it now. Small primaries for great throttle response & mileage, big secondaries for HP.
