I noticed that on my 67 Chargers bucket seats there is only one side, the driver side, that has the lower trim that goes on the bottom of the seats. I saw the 66 has it on both sides. My question is, can I put the trim from a 66 on the 67 seats?

On my Plymouths, 66 and 67, the 66 has trim on both sides and the 67 only on the outside. So sounds like something that was common with the Dodge Charger line too. I’m pretty comfortable saying that if you find some 66 inner trim, that it will mount on the 67. You will probably have to drill the screw mounting holes in the seat frame.

Thinking you should be able to put the 66 seat trim on the 67 seat frame. My 67 was almost untouched on the interior and only the outsides. Really no reason to have that on the inside, unnoticeable mostly. If you want to install on your 67 seats, then go for it. May have to drill a hole or two. Have you re-upholstered the seats yet? Would be easiest if you can see the seat frame then line up with an awl.
Big differences in 66's and 67's. 67's went on a diet. Eliminating weight, and keeping the same look. Some Metal parts went to plastic, and the unnecessary inside seat trim was deleted. Also the reinforcements under the sill plates was eliminated. One dome light in 67 and 2 interior lights on 66's. A little bit here and some more over there adds up. My guess is about 50 lbs overall. All that is also price reduction.
No dome light in the 67. Interior lights: Map light, console lights, sail panel lights. I installed a rear console light from a C body in my 67 however.
So, your saying to get the trim for one seat and use the driver side seat trim and the left side of the passenger seat and vice versa? Not a bad idea.
I put in 2 additional lights for under the dash. I put one just above the console and the other under the dash near the door.

I was asking if the factory used the outside panels on the inside. Or if they had panels with no hole for the adjuster to pass through to use on the inside.
Yeah, that's true.
Probably wouldn't matter, like one of the guys said, your not gonna see it anyway. The hole would be on the console side.
