Main sewer replacement

I was a pipe layer/site service construction for a number of years out of high school....glad to see those guys using shoring!! By the look of the earth around there that would have been a tough job with a rental mini excavator....think you made a wise choice going with a professional. ;)
 
That looks like a really old one early 1900s, just a guess from looking on ebay. Found a coke bottle from 1935 with Waterbury, date/city pressed into bottle.
