I was wondewring if anyone out here has used the " new mancini racing purple shaft cams & lifters.

I personally dont buy from them, they have someone make it and sell it. I would buy direct from a company that makes them. JMO

They were much better before Ron died and the name was sold.

The hughes used to be made by engle. Not sure if they still are to this day

I have Hughes in my 505, Mr. Six pack in my 440 for pure stock racing in the future.. Mr Six pack is so nice to deal with and easy too , Hughes was good too.

The "Purple Stripe" cams were the rage in the day, however they are very antiquated by today's cam and spring technology standards.

While there is still a following for them you can find a much better camshaft for whatever your application is than a Purple Stripe grind.

There's better choices than a Purple Shaft cam for sure,
no big deal for a street car or street strip car they'd be just fine
Hydraulic Flat Tappet or a Flat Tappet solid

Racer Brown Camshafts, the org. MoPar designed cams

& the org. design of the Purple Shaft cams :blah:
lots more to choose from, have your particulars ready,
compression, weight, gearing, converter etc.
& contact very 'MoPar knowledgeable' guys at FBO [email protected]
the people at FBO acquired & their R/B designs, from what I remember (I believe don't quote me)

they have other better STX & STR Rollers too, not listed specs below in that link
contact them, they can do a different grind for you, MoPar specific grind

here's a good list of their cams

they do a lot of ignition/distributor tuning stuff too

good luck
